I'm MJ Shannon and I'm Fighting for You in Hartford

I have the experience, the connections, and the care to best lead our district. ​As an organizer and advocate, I've worked with a diverse group of people in order to build coalitions of support for various causes. I know how to work with Democrats, Republicans, and everything in between to get things done. In just two sessions, I have helped secure millions in education funding, municipal aid, and our local small businesses. I continue to focus on protecting our environment and our shoreline, as my work on the Environment Committee the past two years has led to increased coastal resiliency efforts. My goal, as always, is delivering results for everyone in our district, and lifting us up and forward without looking back. We can't afford to look back at such a critical time in our history. As our future repeatedly gets called into question, I am proud to be fighting for the values we believe in, the future that we aspire to, and a better opportunity for all. I am ready to continue to lead the 117th District to a brighter future, and I am committed to working tirelessly for all.
